How to choose a hospitality linen supplier — the honest landscape.
There are dozens of hospitality linen suppliers in the US. None of them serve the same buyer. This guide breaks down how the market is actually structured — by audience, MOQ, pricing model, and product specialization — so you can pick the supplier built for your operation.
Yes, Zennforthome is one of the suppliers listed below. We've kept the framing honest — you'll see where we fit and where we don't.
Five questions to answer before you contact any supplier.
Most sourcing mistakes happen because operators contact suppliers before defining what they actually need. Answer these five questions first — the right supplier becomes obvious.
How many rooms or units are you supplying?
Under 50 keys: mill-direct or small-MOQ specialist. 50-200 keys: regional distributor or mill-direct. 200+ keys: national distributor with chain pricing.
What's your realistic MOQ tolerance?
If 500-unit minimums work for you, you can use any national distributor. If you need 24-100 unit orders, you need a mill-direct supplier or boutique STR-focused brand.
Standard, premium, or luxury positioning?
Standard tier: 3-set rotation, 60s×40s percale, 600 GSM towels. Premium: 4-set, 80s×60s, 700 GSM. Luxury: 5-set, 100s×80s, 800 GSM. Most suppliers specialize in 1-2 tiers, not all three.
Custom logo embroidery or dye-to-Pantone?
Custom work requires 8-10 week lead time and higher MOQs (typically 100+ units per custom SKU). Confirm capability before assuming a supplier handles it.
On-site evaluation or remote-only?
Some suppliers offer sample kits ($50-100) you evaluate at your property. Others require in-person showroom visits. STR operators usually need the sample-kit option.
Payment terms requirement?
First-time orders often require 50% prepayment. NET-30 terms typically available on second order forward for verified trade accounts. Some boutique suppliers require 100% prepayment indefinitely — clarify upfront.

How to evaluate any supplier before placing a bulk order.
Marketing claims are cheap. Spec sheets and sample kits are not. Before you commit to a year of supply with any supplier — including us — verify these four things:
- Ask for a sample kit, not just a swatch. Swatches can't tell you how the full product performs through commercial laundering. A full sample kit ($50-100 typical) lets you wash, evaluate, and compare.
- Request the spec sheet for every item. GSM, thread count, fiber origin, dye lot, weave structure, and wash certifications should all be documented. If a supplier won't share spec sheets, walk away.
- Verify certification claims. ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications are publicly verifiable. Ask for the certificate number; cross-reference with the certifying body.
- Read the actual contract terms. First-order prepayment requirements, NET-30 eligibility, return policy, and damage replacement should all be in writing — not "discussed verbally."
